The University of Miami BikeSafe Bike Club program is a new bicycling primary prevention program that promotes safety, physical activity, and recreation for children ages 10-14. In a fun and interactive way, children also develop their socio-emotional skills through collaboration and friendship.
Bike Club is a program from the University of Miami KiDZ Neuroscience Center dedicated to prevention of brain and spinal cord injuries in children and adolescents.
Bike Club consists of an interactive curriculum of 16 modules, full of activities, videos, and resources. A trained Bike Club facilitator leads the club.
Bike Club will be piloted in fifteen Miami-Dade County Public middle schools in the 2022-2023 school year. It will be a free afterschool off-bike enrichment opportunity.
